About me

Hi — I’m Simon, a computer scientist and M.Sc. student in Computer & Information Science at the University of Konstanz. My focus is Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), where I’m especially drawn to designing immersive, intuitive mixed-reality experiences.

Professionally, I work as a Full-Stack Developer at FastRocket GmbH, building tailored PHP applications — including WordPress and Shopware platforms — with an eye for clean architecture and human-centered design.

On this site, you’ll find a selection of my academic and creative projects: Redirected Walking, where I experiment with techniques that let people walk naturally through virtual spaces far larger than their physical room, and the Tactile Time Machine, a hardware-driven prototype exploring how touch can bring historical moments to life. These projects reflect my curiosity for blending software, hardware, and interaction design.

When I’m not coding or exploring Extended Reality (XR), you’ll most likely find me outdoors — gravel cycling, exploring new routes, and enjoying the quiet of nature. You can follow my rides on Strava.

Every path, no matter how rough, leads to discovery.
